Rajpal Singh Hothi has been a member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) since 2011, and a member of the Law Society of Ontario (formerly known as the Law Society of Upper Canada) since 2008. He has been practising in the field of immigration consulting since 1999 through his firm, Crown Immigration Corporation, in Mississauga (1999-2007) and later in Brampton (2007-2018).

Rajpal has appeared before the Immigration Appeal Division (full hearings and Alternative Dispute Resolution conferences) for spousal and parental sponsorship appeals since 1999. He also offers services in the areas of PR applications under family sponsorship (spousal and parental), humanitarian and compassionate applications, temporary resident visa applications (visitor and super visa), extend stay applications (visitor visa/super visa/study permit/work permit), permanent resident card, Canadian citizenship, and drafting and commissioning statutory declarations and affidavits, etc.

Rajpal has been associated with the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants since its inception in 2004, and has been a Commissioner of Oaths since 2004. He was also a member in good standing with the former regulator, the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, from 2004 to 2011.

Rajpal has volunteered with the following associations:

Rajpal was decorated with the Chief Minister of Punjab Award by the Governor of Punjab in 1985 for his five years of volunteering with the National Service Scheme (NSS). He possesses the following degrees and diplomas:

  • Diploma in Interviewing & Counselling (SSW Honours, Seneca College, Toronto) – 1994

  • Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science (Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) – 1984

Rajpal learned valuable skills related to empathy and sympathy with the Metropolitan Toronto Association for Community Living, where he taught vocational and literacy skills to individuals with developmental disabilities from 1994 to 1999 on a full-time basis (prior to becoming an immigration consultant); he taught the Punjabi language through International Languages Departments of various GTA school boards on a part-time basis. Rajpal also worked as a freelance interpreter with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada from 1994 to 1999.

Once a Canadian immigrant himself, Rajpal understands the unique problems of newly arrived immigrants and refugees, and can thus assist them with care and sensitivity. He encourages his peers to study and work as a team.
