Gerd holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration with majors in Corporate Planning, Human Resources, and Process Engineering. His corporate background includes management information system development, corporate planning and controlling, and serving for 5 years as managing director at Europe’s oldest stock corporation. After immigrating to Canada, he became licensed as a real estate and business broker, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, and a Commissioner of Oaths. He also received a permit by the German government allowing him to provide consultation in Canadian immigration matters.
In his more than 20-year career as a Canadian immigration practitioner, Gerd gained a reputation as a competent immigration counsel with outstanding expertise in business and skilled worker immigration matters. During this time, he adjudicated thousands of business and skilled worker immigration assessments. His assistance and advice has been welcomed and requested by foreign government institutions and immigration practitioner colleagues.
He has authored numerous immigration articles for several German-Canadian publications, including the largest German print media outside Germany and some of Germany’s largest newspapers. He is frequently interviewed by the media on immigration subjects, and has also been consistently updating the German-Canadian Society, German-Canadian Congress, Austrian Consulate General, German Embassy, and German-Canadian Chamber of Commerce on immigration issues.
For 14 years, Gerd has held executive positions in many immigration industry organizations, and has helped decisively shape Canada’s immigration industry. As such, he was one of the two founding presidents of CAPIC (Canada’s largest non-profit professional association for immigration practitioners), and a founding senior director of Canada’s regulatory body responsible for Canadian immigration consultants, the ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council). Also, he participated as an industry association representative for more than eight years at the CICIP meetings in Ottawa between the Canadian government (citizenship and immigration), and immigration practitioner delegates.
For his contribution to the immigration Industry, Gerd received the following awards:

Gerd is a chartered member in good standing with the ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council), an honorary member of CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants), a member of the CAPIC Past Presidents Council, and a Member of the German-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
